We are Erika and Francesca
and Miscimù is our fabric baby.

Our baby is the daughter of the impetuous creativity of Erika, an architect Mum who is passionate about design, art and millions of other things. She wanted a magical place for her twins, a colourful and fun atmosphere where imagination and creativity could grow, somewhere she could meet with her little ones. So, one day, she invented and created the Stoffamici: totally original and extraordinary creatures capable of transforming a white wall into an adventure.

I, Francesca, have adopted Miscimù and written many stories for her and her Stoffamici. I wanted the Stoffamici to encourage sharing between children and parents, through the story of their adventures or through play.

Miscimù has our children as brothers and sisters, who grew up in the workshop, playing with patterns and studying among the fabrics.

Miscimù is our creature.

We created her, gave her a name and shaped her attitude. For her, and thanks to her, we have spun a web of encounters and fruitful relationships made of professionalism, dedication and patience.

A large creative family has been built for her, made up of all the valuable figures who have contributed to this project. Like Luca and his collaborators, exceptional creatives, Mariangela and Ettore with their experience and golden hands, like Claudio with his wonderful Tuscan cottons, or Giancarlo, who with infinite patience listened to us and advised us, fulfilling every crazy request by us, and Viviana with her taste and her skill.

Thanks to their help, we have made the leap: from a niche production to a more ambitious e-commerce project, to reach even the most distant bedrooms, trying to expand beyond the borders of our beloved Bergamo.

In fact, this project was born in Bergamo, at a time when there was a sort of pandemic apocalypse. At the time of Covid, the challenge was to give up everything or to reinvent yourself and change the formula.

We have chosen to transform ourselves, while maintaining the connotation of craftsmanship of our products, and the quality of Italian and European fabrics and processes, without cutting corners.

And this was possible thanks to the textile workers in our Valle Seriana and to the incessant work of designing, researching new products, new solutions, fun objects with multiple functions, which follow your child as they grow, gradually adapting to their new skills.

This, in fact, is why Miscimù was created: for the happiness of our children.
